This is a senior level Pre-Sales Consulting role, which entails customer, prospect, partner, and corporate responsibilities. The primary responsibility of the Pre-Sales Senior Consultant is to support sales in a manner that drives and elevates eBaoTech's position and penetration into the North American target market.
The essential duties of the Pre-Sales Senior Consultant are many and will involve nearly every facet of an in-depth, multi-step complex sales cycle. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

The Pre-Sales Senior Consultant will be able to:
Support sales and business initiatives and integrate sales related processes across the company in the allocated Territory
Work with Sales Leadership & Sales Executives to develop, communicate, and implement effective sales growth strategies and processes
Serve as the thought leader for product positioning in the target market regarding product requirements and architecture, selling trends, competitive landscape, marketing programs and communications
Facilitate feedback to different areas of the business regarding client needs, operational needs, business opportunities, product features & functions, and marketing/sales programs
Support eBaoTech's business to achieve and surpass sales and business goals and objectives
Provide detailed representation of eBaoTech's solutions at Executive level meetings with prospects, clients, and technology/channel partners
Work with Sales Leadership to support Lead Generation activities
Recommend creative selling and product positioning techniques based on market and product knowledge
Overcome technical or architectural challenges within existing or new Customers, and coordinate communication and activities required
Assist in developing brand identity and recognition in the North American market
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or MBA in business, marketing, computer science and/or related field required and 10+ years of experience and job related skills are desired. The ideal candidate would have life/health and/or P&C insurance carrier career experience and have worked for an enterprise vendor on solutions development. Industry certifications (e.g. CLU, FMLI, HIAA, CEBS, etc.), while not necessary, are desired as they indicate a level of domain expertise within the insurance industry.

Complete or review infrastructure, hardware and system software technical components in all Sales Proposals and RFIs/RFPs.
Prepare and deliver technical sales/marketing presentations
Where required, provide clients with technical training and consulting
Requirements
At least 2 years' experience working within a pre-sales role for software or other IT company, ideally a J2EE based software
A strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux servers, J2EE application servers and database servers; System integration experiences a plus
Strong presentation and communication skills
Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese. Ideally Chinese returnee who has studied or worked in English speaking country; or Bilingual overseas Chinese already based in or willing to relocate to Shanghai

Develop and manage product plan, roadmap, including management of current functionality and vision for the future.
Define product definition and specification through concise and thorough documentation (e.g. PRD/MRD, Functional Spec.) and communication with cross-functional departments; deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
Monitor closely relevant requirements from standard bodies and incorporate on the product roadmap.
Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
Provide technical expertise to Sales and Marketing for creation of product positioning, collateral, data sheet, manual, competitive analysis, training, and customer presentations.
Facilitate requirements sessions and document business and system requirements for the product.
Author, assist and/or provide company responses to RFI/RFP for product answers to Sales.
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage/pre-released products.
Requirements
3+ years experience in a product management role; experienced as a software product manager a big plus.
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and excellent team work skills for groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; customer facing presentation skills and experience preferred.

For Functional Product Manager track, Life and/or P&C Insurance domain expertise is highly preferred; Financial/Insurance relevant degree or work experience a strong plus.
For Technical Product Manager Track, computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus; Technical expertise in Java technologies, SOA, and experience in rollout of enterprise-wide technology projects is highly preferred.
