Define product definition and specification through concise and thorough documentation (e.g. PRD/MRD, Functional Spec.) and communication with cross-functional departments; deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
Monitor closely relevant requirements from standard bodies and incorporate on the product roadmap.
Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
Provide technical expertise to Sales and Marketing for creation of product positioning, collateral, data sheet, manual, competitive analysis, training, and customer presentations.
Facilitate requirements sessions and document business and system requirements for the product.
Author, assist and/or provide company responses to RFI/RFP for product answers to Sales.
Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage/pre-released products.
Requirements
3+ years experience in a product management role; experienced as a software product manager a big plus.
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and excellent team work skills for groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; customer facing presentation skills and experience preferred.
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data.

Experience working with multiple internal groups including engineering, operations, marketing, etc.

For Functional Product Manager track, Life and/or P&C Insurance domain expertise is highly preferred; Financial/Insurance relevant degree or work experience a strong plus.
For Technical Product Manager Track, computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus; Technical expertise in Java technologies, SOA, and experience in rollout of enterprise-wide technology projects is highly preferred.
